What each term means
- Probability of k Successes
- The probability of getting exactly 'k' successes in 'n' independent trials, each with probability 'p' of success.
- Binomial Coefficient
- The number of different ways to choose 'k' successes out of 'n' trials. Computed as C(n, k) = n! / (k! · (n-k)!).
- Probability of Success (p^k)
- The probability of success 'p' on each trial, raised to the power 'k'. It is the probability that k specific trials are all successes.
- Probability of Failure ((1-p)^(n-k))
- The probability of failure (1-p) raised to the power (n-k). It is the probability of (n-k) failures in the remaining trials.
